Introducing our multi talented Creative
Ayse Buker
Gidgegannup Western Australia

Ayse pronounced Asha a natural dyer, hand stitcher and textile artist comes to us from Gidgeganup in the Perth hills where her and her husband, two cheeky Alpacas and five chickens have made the most beautiful and inspirational home, where she also runs delightful, informative workshops now and then.

Ayse was born in Türkiye’s central Anatolia region and spent many summers of her childhood with her grandparents, who’s deep connection to the land and traditional craft shaped her values and creative path. They first taught Ayse to hand stitch as a child a practice that has been with ever since. She has been quilting for over 7 years and began her natural dye journey nearly 3 years ago, blending plant-based colour with slow intuitive textile work.

Ayse creates one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by the native Australian bush blended with her Ancestral Anatolian roots. Every item is made by mindfully using hand-dyed threads, ethically sourced or repurposed fabrics, and traditional techniques.

Each piece carries a story of … Memory Nature and Women powered craft. If you would like to take a drive out to wonderful Gidgegannup Ayse would be happy to arrange a time and place for you to pick up your purchase.
